Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images for CinemaConKevin Hart voices Snowball the Rabbit in the upcoming animated movie Secret Life of Pets 2 — but he was nearly upstaged by an actual rabbit onstage as he promoted the film Wednesday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star carried the bunny onto the stage at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace, but when he felt claws in his chest, he was not happy, according to Deadline.
“My chest is bleeding now,” he told the crowd before rolling the teaser for the film.
Hart is reprising his role from the original 2016 film, and Tiffany Haddish joins the cast as Daisy the dog. She brought a poodle on stage with her, and joked she found the dog wandering around the casino.
“I don’t know whose dog this is,” she said. “The dog was drunk and broke.”
As the bunny began to climb onto Hart’s shoulder, he quipped, “This is my nightmare. Oh, s**t. You got a drunk dog, I got a frisky rabbit!”
Secret Life of Pets 2, which also stars the voices of Patton Oswalt, Hannibal Buress, Dana Carveyand Harrison Ford, opens in theaters June 7.
