Timbaland is making sure Aaliyah‘s legacy lives on. Over the weekend, the hitmaker announced he plans to share previously unreleased music from the late singer, who was killed fourteen years ago in a plane crash.
Timbo posted on his Instagram, “Attention!!!!! People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven’t heard !!!!!well the answer is YES!!!!!!!! TIMBO x BABEGIRL !!!!!” he wrote in the caption, referring to Aaliyah, along with a photo of the singer.
He wrote in a follow-up post that he’ll issue a preview in the near future: “Sneak peak coming!!!!!!!”
While Timbaland didn’t disclose if the recordings would be released as full album, the upcoming material will follow the 2002 posthumous Aaliyah album, I Care 4 U.
