Kevin Mazur/WireImageSad news to report regarding one of Tina Turner‘s close family members. The rock and soul legend’s oldest son, Craig Turner, committed suicide on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles County coroner confirmed to ABC News that Turner was pronounced dead at 12:38 p.m. PT of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Studio City, California.
According to TMZ, Craig Turner was 59 years old and was born when Tina was just 18. His biological father was a saxophone player named Raymond Hill, who played in Ike Turner‘s band. Craig was adopted by Ike, Tina’s first husband and longtime musical partner, after he and Tina were married.
According to a Facebook page attributed to Craig, he worked as a realtor, and as a manager for a company called Private Dancer Music.
