ABC/Jeff Neira This year’s Soul Train Awards is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated television events of the year, particularly because of the newly announced performers.
A number of artists, including Toni Braxton, Tamar Braxton, Method Man, SWV, 112, Keyshia Cole, Kirk Franklin and Demetria McKinney are now scheduled to appear.
Other artists scheduled to perform include Jazmine Sullivan, Tank, Ledisi, Le’Andria Johnson, MAJOR., Daniel Caesar, Ro James, Luke James, DVSN, and U-God.
Solange leads the 2017 Soul Train Awards nominees with seven nods, including one for Best R&B/Soul Female artist.
Bruno Mars has six nominations, including Song of the Year for “That’s What I Like.”
Toni Braxton will receive the prestigious Don Cornelius Legend Award for her impressive contributions to the music industry, while SWV will be honored with the third annual Lady of Soul Award during the event.
Erykah Badu will host the 2017 Soul Train Awards, which will air November 26 at 8 p.m. ET on BET and BET HER.
