Courtesy We TVThe Braxton Sisters, led by Toni and Tamar, are famous for their singing.  However, one of the ladies wants to focus exclusively on acting.

Towanda Braxton sang on the group’s two albums, So Many Ways, in 1996, and their 2015 holiday release, Braxton Family Christmas..  However, she’s the only sister who hasn’t released solo music.

“I don’t want to do the singing thing,” Towanda tells ABC Radio. “We can of course because I was reared in that but I don’t want to do that. I’ve always done the acting.”

“I’ve done a couple of movies,” she continues. “I have a movie that’s out now. It’s called It’s Major and it’s going to be in different cities.”

It’s Major is a true story about a youth basketball coach struggling to raise money to send his team to a tournament in Atlanta. Towanda’s acting credits also include appearing with Toni in the 2018 Lifetime movie, Every Day Is Christmas. For her next role, she’ll be featured in the TV movie, The Real Georgia Peaches.

Towanda has been appearing in Braxton Family Values since its debut in 2011. She says she’s satisfied with her career, and personally, she’s thrilled to reveal she’s in a wonderful relationship.

“I’m just really excited about life,” she says, “and I’m happily, happily, happily happy.”
