You may have noticed a particular line of alcoholic beverages showing up in Trey Songz‘s steamy music video for new single, “Slow Motion.” Well, it turns out the appearance of SX Liquors products in the video was no coincidence.

The singer was on hand at a press conference in New York City on Friday to announce a partnership with the beverage company where he also discussed what fans can expect from this forthcoming album, Tremaine.

“The Tremaine album I think will kind of be more like the base of what my career started as,” Trey said.  “If you look at ‘Slow Motion’ and you hear the song and you look at the video, it’s romantic, you know, it’s got that [DJ] Mustard-bounce and the same tempo as a lot of the hits that are on the radio now, but it’s showing a woman that she can be loved, that she’s beautiful.”

The singer said that the album, like the single, will reflect his romantic side.  “And music now, R&B and rap, I feel like it’s easier to make a woman feel sexy, to be a bad b***h, to be this, that and the other, when I feel like the Tremaine album you kind of put women on a pedestal again and show that it’s cool to love, it’s cool to be romantic, it’s cool to want to be in relationships.”

While the crooner’s seventh effort won’t be released until the end of the year, fans can expect the upcoming expanded re-release of Trey’s most recent album, Trigga: Reloaded, to arrive on April 14.
