Bobby Brown is opening up about what it has meant to him to have his “brothers” from New Edition by his side through the tough moments in his life.

In a preview clip ahead of New Edition’s exclusive appearance on The Tamron Hall Show today, Brown reflects on how the group helped him cope with the deaths of ex-wife Whitney Houston and his children Bobbi Kristina and Bobby Brown Jr.

“My brothers have stuck by me through so many rough times in my life,” he says. “I’m proud to call them my brothers and my friends. They’ve lifted me up and they’ve held me up to heights that I can’t even find the words to explain. But they’ve always been there for me and I appreciate them all.”

Brown was on tour with New Edition when Whitney passed away in 2012 — 10 years ago, February 11. Now, the group is getting ready to embark on The Culture Tour, kicking off February 16 in Columbia, Georgia.

The group says they are working hard to make things perfect for the fans.

“That is the number one goal, to have everything precise,” Brown says. “Every ‘i’ has to be dotted and every ‘t’ has be crossed in order to perform with these guys.”

He adds, “I’m just getting back into it. Really trying hard. “You might not know, but it’s difficult to do the dance steps after you haven’t been doing them for a while. It’s about muscle memory and I’m trying to get that back slowly but surely.”
