ABC/Jeff NeiraAfter months of speculation, during which he revealed that his wife was pregnant and then backtracking on the announcement, Tyrese Gibson has now officially confirmed that they’re expecting.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Tyrese shared the news and added a heartfelt message about his wifey, Samantha Gibson.
“It’s not a rumor……. So proud to share the news – were #pregnant!” he wrote, captioning a musical video showing a collage of photos of his wife.
“’Take my hand and never let go, I will love you and stand with you through thick and thin from my heart, our love will inspire others to lovers to love deeper…,” he continued.
“Take my hand and where ever you lead me I will follow you around the world. Samantha Gibson I love you too………. Truly. I guess the world knows now.”
According to People, the couple, who secretly married on Valentine’s Day 2017, is set to welcome a baby girl in September.
“Both of our love and energy and magic and family are bonded forever because we’re going to have this child,” Tyrese told People. “It’s unbelievable.”
Tyrese’s wife gushed about her pregnancy to the magazine.
“We were able to conceive at the right time, I believe,” she said.
“There was a lot that happened last year — everyone is aware of that — and so to have the opportunity to…really start a new chapter in the way that has happened, I just look to God and I’m like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe that you would plan it this way and you do it so perfectly.’”
This is the couple’s first child together, Tyrese has a daughter, Shayla, 10, with ex-wife Norma.
