The video shows Benet slowly grooving as he sings over the slow tempo beat. It’s set in a studio atmosphere with the singer accompanied by a full band. The song, bound to be an summer ballad, highlights Benét’s classic falsetto.
According to the singer, “’Sunshine’ is a reflective memory of relationship that has lost its spark, with a longing for how love-filled & joyous their lives used to be in the past. The song will hopefully inspire people to actively create and savor the joy and ‘sunshine’ in every one of their relationships.”
The singer recently announced that he has wrapped up his long-awaited upcoming album that is scheduled to be released this fall. “Sunshine” will be available for download on Friday, May 13, along with a studio performance video for the song that features his oldest daughter, India Benét.
