Strong Arm MediaSoulbird India.Arie brings forth a masterpiece film, “Welcome Home,” to help calm the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The nine-minute film captures natural elements, highlighting her singles “Crazy” and “Sacred Space” from her latest album, Worthy. India.Arie felt these unprecedented times were the perfect time to offer wellness, peace and tranquillity, using her music as a vessel for thought-provoking lyrics and mindful meditation.
“Welcome Home” finds India in a valley in Santa Monica mountains, embracing calmness as she partakes in art therapy, meditation and couples yoga with Hollywood actor Lyriq Bent, in “Crazy.” Luke Cage‘s Mustafa Shakir plays the lead role in the latter half of the film.
“Welcome Home” also launches the #worthyandwell campaign in partnership with The Big We podcast, which the website declares focuses on the “Renaissance of African diasporic healing, repair, and return.”
Through the campaign, India will share stories about her wellness practices, as well as filmmaking tips and other online content in celebration of the film.
