The Recording Academy
Grammy-winner Alicia Keys revealed the nominees for the top four Grammy Awards categories Monday morning on CBS This Morning. While Kendrick Lamar leads all nominee with 11 nods, including Album of the Year, other artists have taken to their social media to thank the academy for being recognized.
Wiz Khalifa, whose hit song “See You Again” is nominated for Song of the Year, tweeted: “Woke up to some Grammy noms. I’ll smoke to that.”
John Legend is also appreciative for having “Glory” with Common up for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. “4 Grammy Nominations! Thank you! @TheGRAMMYs,” Legend tweeted.
After learning that her Incomparable LP is up for Best R&B Album, Faith Evans expressed her gratitude as well. “Thank you to the Recording Academy and it’s members for nominating “He Is” from my album #Incomparable! #Grammys,” she wrote.
Lalah Hathaway ‘s “Little Ghetto Boy” is nominated for Best R&B Traditional R&B Performance, her rendition of her father and soul icon Donny Hathaway‘s 1972 hit. “So honored to rep my daddy.. #NomNoms #GRAMMYs,” Lalah wrote.
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air live on Monday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m. from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
