World of Dance winners say Beyoncé taught them how to master the English language

by

ABC/Image Group LAFrench-born identical twin brothers Laurent and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois, also known as World of Dance champions Les Twins, say that Beyoncé not only helped sharpen their dance moves while touring with the superstar, but also taught them how to speak English.

Larry tells People magazine, “We didn’t speak English when we started to dance with Beyoncé and JAY-Z — at all. She’s a great teacher.”

He adds, “She [taught] me how to speak correctly. [They] they showed us how to live in New York.”

“I was like, ‘Mommy, I made it! and she was like, ‘Come back home!’ and I was like, ‘No, no I’m staying here!’ [Beyonce] really [made] us feel like we were unique.”

Les Twins toured as backup dancers for Bey and Jay on their On The Run Tour in 2014.

They’ve also appeared in Beyoncé’s music videos for “Blow” and “Jealous,” and the alternate visual for “Run the World (Girls).”

The twins, grateful for Beyoncé’s professional and linguistic help, also offered some advice of their own for the mother of new twins, Sir and Rumi.

“Do not dress them the same after two,” says Laurent.

Larry adds, “Do not treat one with more love than the other because they will always remember.”
