They are now ranked the #1 most admired man and woman in the world … none other than Barack and Michelle Obama; that, according to the British data firm YouGov‘s annual poll which has the former POTUS and FLOTUS tops on the list.
For the first time since firm started the survey in 2014, Barack Obama bested Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates from the top male spot. Gates is now in second place for most admired man, followed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in third.
Jackie Chan, Elon Musk and Michael Jordan were 5th, 9th and 13th respectively.
Michelle Obama is ranked number one for women for the second year in a row. Angelina Jolie, who previously held the top spot, was ranked second in Tuesday’s survey, followed by Queen Elizabeth II.
Oprah Winfrey is 4th on the list; Shakira and Beyonce are 10th and 11th respectively.
The Obama’s continue to make their presence known since leaving the White House in everything from social justice issues, the election, the COVID pandemic.
