Wyclef Jean has collaborated with several major recording artists for the official anthem of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, which is entitled “Dar um Jeito (We Will Find a Way).”
The singer joins music legend Carlos Santana, Swedish DJ Avicii and Brazilian singer Alexandre Pires on the song, which was produced by Wyclef alongside the two-time Grammy-nominated Ash Pournouri, Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub. The track was recorded at PRMD Studios in Stockholm.
“Despite the fact that I was born in a place where darkness at times steals the sunshine, where rain often turns to floods and children often cannot be found, I have always found a way to sing with joy,” sais Wyclef in a statement. “‘Dar um Jeito’ is dedicated to all those searching for the light…knowing that they too, shall soon find a way.”
The anthem, which will be released late April, will also be performed at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony on July 13 at the legendary Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
