In her new memoir “Phases,” Brandy opens up about a teenage relationship with Boyz II Men’s Wanya Morris, calling it one of her most surprising revelations.
She recalls the romance starting when she was 16 and Morris was in his early 20s and says that what she once saw as love now feels, in hindsight, like a troubling imbalance of power. The two first connected while working together on the 1994 track “Brokenhearted” and grew closer from there.
