Wendy Williams is trying to fix a huge PR nightmare, after she received major clap-back from the Gospel community after dissing The Clark Sisters on her show this week.
Williams said that the sisters needed to “step up their game” because she alleged that they had never had a #1 album which caused Clark Sisters’ fans to declare a social media war on Williams.
For the record, the sisters’ last album “The Clark Sisters Live…One Last Time” which was released in 2007 was #1 for TWO WEEKS on the Billboard Gospel charts. That album featured the song “Blessed and Highly Favored” which was #1 for SEVEN WEEKS on the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart, the song also spent SEVEN WEEKS at #1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart. All of this can be verified at Billboard.com, and yesterday the album went to #1 once again on iTunes.
Williams is now trying to make it right and has invited the Clark Sisters to appear on her show.
