Passengers are left scrambling as all flights across Spirit Airlines’ network were immediately canceled following the airline’s announcement on Saturday that it was suspending operations.
This closure follows years of financial difficulties and a recent surge in fuel prices. The Trump administration tried hard to prevent the shutdown on Saturday, but was unsuccessful, according to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. All flights are canceled, and customer service is no longer accessible.
Unfortunately, passengers whose flights were canceled have limited immediate assistance.
