LeBron James Praises Black Voters For Record Turn Out

by

In an effort to turn out the Black vote in this election, which had declined in 2016, LeBron James and other athletes started the More Than A Vote initiative. Reportedly the vast majority of those from historically disenfranchised groups cast a ballot for Democratic nominee Joe Biden on Tuesday. Taking to Twitter, the NBA superstar praised those who went to the polls, adding, “Be proud as hell but do not stop! We must stay organized and keep working. We just tipping off. I promise you I’m here for y’all throughout!” LeBron shared a special shout-out for former Georgia House minority leader Stacey Abrams, whose New Georgia Project registered more than 800,000 new voters in The Peach State. The state turned from red to blue on Friday morning as Biden pulled ahead in the tally.
