In case you thought COVID would calm down by Christmas, you might want to think again. Dr. Anthony Fauci, America’s leading infectious disease expert, told USA Today that he doesn’t expect the pandemic situation to improve before the end of the year. With coronavirus cases and deaths currently surging, Fauci admits, “I don’t see it being any different during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays than during Thanksgiving.” Fauci recommends that people avoid seeing loved ones right now in order to slow the spread.
