Condom Sales Skyrocket In US

by

Following a pandemic-induced lull in sexual activity, Americans are clearly ready to get their freak on again. Condom sales shot up 23.4 percent in the four weeks leading up to April 18th, according to market research firm IRI. The increase translates to $37 million in sales. An official with Church and Dwight, the manufacturer of Trojan condoms, actually predicted the spike back in January. “An even more eagerly-awaited bounce back of sales is in the condom category as condoms mean pleasure,” marketing officer Britta Bomhard said at the time. “Eighteen-to 24-year-olds can’t wait to get their social lives back.”
