R Kelly’s sex-trafficking trial in New York has been delayed. The new trial date has been pushed back to August 18. For the first time, the 54-year-old singer was in Brooklyn for his trial on racketeering and sex trafficking charges when the judge scolded his legal team for “mudslinging.” The legal team had limited access to R. Kelly due to COVID-19 protocols. The singer-songwriter and his legal team will have a little more time to prepare for the case. Jury selection for the trial will remain on July 9th.
