Lauryn Hill has been named Executive Producer of an upcoming documentary about the poet and activist Amiri Baraka. Why Is We Americans takes a look at Baraka’s life and her contribution to Black culture, art, and history. Besides having the EP role, Lauryn is also interviewed for the documentary. The documentary opens at the IFC Theatre in New York on January 14.
