Black Hollywood Viola Davis & Julius Tennon

Viola Davis and husband Julius Tennon’s will partner with Wise Entertainment to bring Brazilian Playwright Nelson Rodrigues’ 1960 play ‘The Asphalt Kiss’ to film and TV. It’s a huge win for diversity in Hollywood and the power couple’s JuVee Production Company. It’s like Black Hollywood meets Brazilian literature.   JuVee Productions collaboration with Wise Productions’, Mauricio Moto, who is the co-founded and grandson of the legendary playwright and novelist. The Nelson Rodrigues’ Estate; is considered to be the largest and most diverse literary estate in Latin America. This move will bridge a Black Hollywood production company and the works of what is called the Brazilian Shakespeare. Rodrigues works deal with controversial themes like: racism, adultery and homosexuality always pushing the societal boundaries. If you love the arts this is one move to watch. The announcement came as an early birthday present for Viola Davis who celebrated her birthday on Sunday. Viola Davis is the first Black actor to win an Emmy, an Oscar and a Toni. JuVee Production was founded by Davis and husband Julius Tennon in 2011.
