The University of Minnesota is giving an honorary degree to Prince, although the school was trying to present the degree to Prince before his untimely death, they will continue with a ceremony.
Kirk Johnson, Jellybean Johnson, St. Paul Peterson, Cameron Kinghorn, and a surprise guest will be in attendance at the ceremony on Wednesday evening and will perform some of Prince’s music
University President Eric Kaler and Regent Darrin Rosha will present the degree to Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson. The free event is already booked at capacity.
