Amazon plans to open new grocery stores. Amazon is a giant in the online business and now after purchasing the Whole Foods chain, they want to expand their reach. For every Whole Foods store, there are 10 Walmart stores. So it looks like the plan is to open more stores so they can sell more mainstream items, which would allow them to possibly be a threat to the Walmart, Kroger, and Albertson grocery store chains.
