Mary J. Blige, Missy and Queen Latifah are all involved with the movie.
In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Mary explained the influence the famous Clark Sisters has had on her life.
She said growing up her grandparents listened to the Clark Sisters, they helped me heal…they’ve been my Earth angels…I just wanted to be a part of telling their story.
She said that there were many days that she, Missy and Queen Latifah sat on the phone and cried listening to The Clark Sisters.
