Walmart Pulls Firearms From Shelves Until Election is Over

by

Walmart

Apparently, Walmart executives don’t have a lot of faith in America’s electoral process.  Officials with the retail giant on Thursday announced they’re pulling all guns and ammo from their shelves until the upcoming election is over. “We have seen some isolated civil unrest and as we have done on several occasions over the last few years, we have moved our firearms and ammunition off the sales floor as a precaution for the safety of our associates and customers,” a statement released by Walmart reads. “These items do remain available for purchase by customers.”  The decision marks the second time this year Walmart has removed firearms from its shelves. The first was in June, following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.  Why are so many people expecting violence on election night? What do you think of Walmart’s decision to pull guns from shelves, but still making them available for purchase?
