Mary J. Blige is ringing in her 55th birthday with a special treat for fans.
The Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul dropped a golden surprise on social media to celebrate, sparking excitement about what’s next for the multi-talented star, fresh off her ‘For My Fans Tour.’
Here’s the good news: Blige is set to debut her first Las Vegas residency, titled “Mary J. Blige: My Life, My Story The Las Vegas Residency.” The show will feature a unique storytelling format with actors and actresses narrating her music. Shows are scheduled for May 1, 2, 6, 8, and 9, with a second run scheduled for July 10, 11, 15, 17, and 18. All performances begin at 8 p.m. local time. 0Blige promises a theatrical experience that will include songs she has never performed before. The residency will take place at Dolby Live at Park MGM, with presale tickets available starting on Jan. 13th for Citi/AAdvantage cardholders. General ticket sales will begin on Jan. 16th.
She will be the headliner at the Cincinnati Music Festival in July! She also has a new Lifetime movie coming soon, “Be Happy”, which stars Tisha Campbell and Mekhi Phifer.
