Serena Williams Pulls Out Of Wimbledon Match Hours Before Match With Sister Venus

Tennis great Serena Williams withdrew from her doubles match with sister Venus at Wimbledon.

Williams said it was due to a right knee injury sustained during her singles return earlier in the week and expressed her disappointment in an Instagram post, sharing images of fluid drained from her knee and indicating that her knee was not ready to compete.

Despite the setback, Serena hinted at a potential return to competition in the near future, possibly before the US Open. The Williams sisters are six-time champions in women’s doubles at Wimbledon.
