President Trump denies saying Haiti and African countries are bleep holes

The Central Park Five story being documented on Netflix’s docuseries ‘When They See Us’ has caused quite the controversy. Since it’s release ‘When They See Us’ is the most watched show in the US every day since it’s premiere. Backlash from the series resulted in Linda Fairstein, the prosecutor in the Central Park Five case, losing her book deal, as well as stepping down and being fired from many roles she upheld in different organizations. In addition, Black Columbia law students forced Elizabeth Lederer, another prosecutor in the case, to resign as a professor at Columbia University.

More recently, a group of reporters caught up with President Donald Trump asking, “Will you apologize to the Central Park Five after coming up with a full page ad calling for them to receive the death penalty?”

Trump responded, “Why do you bring that question up now? It’s an interesting time to bring it up,” Trump said. “If you look at Linda Fairstein, and if you look at some of the prosecutors, they think that the city should never have settled that case. So, we’ll leave it at that.”
