Mariah Carey comes clean about new song…is it about Nick Cannon?

by

When Mariah Carey released her new song “Infinity” a few days about, rumors started that it was directed at ex hubby Nick Cannon because of these lines in the song:

“‘You’re leaving, you’re leaving, you’re out the door infinity loving me more and more’ – meaning you have to love yourself first. It can’t be all about somebody else’s thing or their issues; it has to be you and then you can deal with the rest of the things in your life.”

Carey has finally spoken and confirmed that the song is…just a song and not about about anyone in particular.

“I don’t feel like it’s my personal life. It’s written for all the women, or men, or whoever’s gone through any type of relationship,” she said. “I’m looking at it as the mantra of ‘Infinity’ is love yourself… loving yourself first to infinity. Then you can love anybody or anything else – your career, your kids, your life.”

Mariah Carey’s new album “#1 to Infinity” will be available May 6th!
