Will Dwaine Caraway run against John Wiley Price?

by

Dallas City Councilman Dwaine Caraway will leaving the council this month due to term limits, but he says that we haven’t heard the last of him.  Caraway says that he will reveal his post city city council plans on June 23rd, The Dallas Morning News suggests that his plan could include running against John Wiley Price for the County Commissioner’s seat.

“I am still trying to figure it out, and hopefully between now and the 23rd I will have made up my mind,” he said.  “There are four, five options, and I will make a decision and an announcement so the next day after the new council takes office I can begin a 100-percent focus on my new direction, my new quest. Everything’s open. Shoot, everything is open. A lot of different things are available. It just depends on the best fit for me and what the people want me to do. It doesn’t even rule out a return to the council. Everything is open. There’s state rep, the commissioners court, you can even look at mayor. All that stuff is appealing. It just depends on what would be the best fit.”
