Dallas COVID Cases Rise With Summer Spike
It’s no secret that DFW has been suffering from a summer cold for the past two weeks. CBS News reports there has been a 30–40% increase in COVID cases according to medical experts at Parkland Health Hospital.
“Although there has been an increase in affections, there has not been a severe rise in hospilizations, which is really good news” says The Chief Medical Officer at Parkland Health, Dr.Joseph Chang, MD.
Chang Refers to the Covid strand as “Omicron Cousin”. While it spreads easy, it is not severe in most cases for patients, with exceptions.

- CDC advises patients 65 and older with chronic illness to make sure they are up to date on their booster shots if it’s been longer than four months since last vacine.
- You should stay home for at least 24 hours, and once the fever goes away, you can get back in society with a mask on.
