Chloe x Halle; Freeform/Aaron PooleChloe x Halle, The Roots, Nick Cannon and Pusha T are among the list of celebrities joining MTV and the NAACP to offer encouragement to kids traveling to the March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C this weekend.
The student-led demonstration, taking place on Saturday, was organized in response to the February 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Other stars offering their support to the cause include Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi and Carmelo Anthony.
MTV, in conjunction with the Youth & College Division of the NAACP and local youth organizations, are sending 17 buses full of young people from communities affected by gun violence to D.C. for the event.
The 17 buses represent the number of lives lost in the Parkland shooting.
Those buses will carry riders from cities such as Atlanta, Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia and Providence.
