Raphael Saadiq; Mel D. ColeThis year’s Out of Doors festival at New York’s famous Lincoln Center will feature two separate performances from RZA and Raphael Saadiq.
RZA will appear on Tuesday, July 24 to present a re-scoring of the 1978 martial arts classic film The 36th Chamber of Shaolin.
The Wu-Tang Clan leader first took his 36th Chamber of Shaolin tour on the road in 2016 and finished performing another leg of the show in April.
Raphael is scheduled take the stage on Wednesday, July 25 to play both old and new songs from his catalog of music, with rock singer-songwriter Tamar-kali joining him.
Both artists were lauded for their musical work on the critically acclaimed movie, Mudbound.
Raphael Saadiq and RZA’s appearances are both free and will take place at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park.
