Amy Sussman/Getty ImagesJanelle Monáe rolled up her up her sleeves and helped provide food and supplies to the less fortunate over the weekend by hand-delivering food to needy families.

She, alongside Rep. Maxine WatersYara Shahidi and others teamed up over the weekend for the Wondalunch Food Giveaway, which provided meals and other necessary items to those who have fallen on hard times due to the ongoing pandemic.

The event, held Saturday at Los Angeles Southwest College, welcomed everyone for the drive-thru event that provided items such as diapers, baby products, school supplies, children;’s book, meals and more.  In addition, all those who came were provided a free meal.

It was later revealed that the drive served over 2,300 families.

Monáe, along with the rest of the volunteers, followed social distancing protocols as they handed off the donated goods — by ensuring a contact-free delivery by loading the products into the families’ car trunks.

Several happy fans of the 35-year-old snapped photos of her as she worked to serve as many individuals as possible.

The Saturday drive was put on by Wondaland Arts Society.
