Legend will perform in honor of inductee Bill Withers, the soul singer best known for his hits “Lean on Me,” “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Just the Two of Us.” The ceremony takes place April 18 at Cleveland’s Public Hall.
The crooner joins a star-studded line up for the 30th annual event, which will see Stevie Wonder inducting Withers into the Hall of Fame, Miley Cyrus inducting rockers Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Paul McCartney inducting his Beatles band mate Ringo Starr, among others.
The ceremony will air on HBO May 30.
