As much of the Internet continues to react to Jacquees’ “king of R&B” debate, there is now a petition to prevent the singer from adding his own twist to hit songs.

Tuesday night, concerned music lover Ricky Fields created the Change.org request and shared it via social media.

“As a Black community, we have to figure out how we getting rid of Jacquees,” the online petition reads. At press time, the document had surpassed its goal of 25K signatures, with many supporters citing the Georgia crooner’s covers and remixes of well-known tracks as one of their issues with him.

Within the last several months, Jacquees’ rendition of popular tunes, including Donnie Hathaway’s “This Christmas,” Beyonce’s “Bow Down” and Soul For Real’s “Candy Rain,” have surfaced online.

Most notably, Jacquees’s revisited Ella Mai‘s “Trip,” which was reportedly removed from SoundCloud by Mai’s team because it was unauthorized.
