Alicia Keys is ready to complete her sixth studio album.
During an interview with Vogue, Keys reveals that her upcoming album will be arriving soon. “It’s killing me to hold it back! But I think we’re looking at the top of next year [for its release]. Once you hear it, it’s going to be totally worth the wait,” she says.
The singer also spilled that she has a certain beauty regimen for her recording sessions. “[Success in the studio] is really just about the energy that’s around you — so [I try to be] the most comfortable that I can be in my skin. I use getting dressed or a certain hairstyle or lipstick [to channel] what I’m feeling or whatever I’m not feeling,” she says. “If I’m low on energy, I will put on a little red, a little royal blue, strong eggplants and purples, things that make me feel sensual or vibrant. I’ve been in love with [wearing] a black turban with a great earring and red lip. It’s true that colors and what you wear make you feel different. I love tapping into that.”
Hopefully her fashion sense will translate into the follow-up to 2012’s Girl On Fire.
