Tyler Perry StudiosBET’s streaming service BET+ has added two more Tyler Perry series to its lineup: the comedy series Bruh and the forthcoming The Oval spinoff series, Ruthless.
According to the network, Bruh, a half-hour comedy, will “examine the world of dating, career, and friendship” for a group of 30-something-year-old college friends. The series will star Barry Brewer, Mahdi Cocci, Phillip Mullings Jr., Monti Washington, Chandra Currelley, Candice Renee and Alyssa Goss.
Ruthless, a hour-long drama, will follow The Oval‘s Ruth, who has become “entangled in a scandalous cult of powerful sex-crazed fanatics” with whom she must play nice with until she can find a way out with her young daughter. The series stars Melissa L. Williams, Matt Cedeño, Lenny Thomas and Yvonne Senat Jones, among others.
“I’m so grateful for the millions of fans who have been watching the new shows on BET,” said Perry in a statement. “And this is only the beginning. I’m excited to bring these two new dynamic series to the BET+ family and continue to tell stories of high stakes drama with emerging talent.”
Premiere dates for Bruh and Ruthless have yet to be announced.
