Beyonce has been criticized in the past for remaining silent about social issues — particularity the #BlackLivesMatter movement — but now she’s speaking out via social media about the unrest in Baltimore.

The singer posted an Instagram photo of a protester wearing the American flag decorated with the name of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old African-American who died of an apparent spinal injury while in police custody earlier this month, and what appears to be the names of others who have suffered in similar incidents.

“People are hurting,” Beyonce wrote in the caption. “Join us in supporting the NAACP to help in the cleanup efforts and to provide housing, food and supplies to those affected by the unrest in Baltimore.”

Beyonce also posted four striking images from the unrest in Baltimore on her website, which redirects to the NAACP‘s donation page.
