Eric McCandless/CBSBeyonce has taken coordinating to a new level. The singer’s colorist, Rita Hazan, revealed that Queen Bey actually decided to match her hair color to the color of her widely discussed Met Gala dress.
Hazan spilled that the singer’s blonde hair was meant to accentuate the nude shades within the dress as well as complement her skin tone.
“We went with the modern girl look who is blonde, bold and edgy,” Hazan tells PopSugar. “The dress was such an amazing moment that her hair had to be on the same level.”
To achieve the nude hair trend, Hazan says she lifted Beyoncé’s color two to three shades to a dark blonde then applied babylights to create dimension and contrast to her hair. “We went really blonde with her color to match the nudeness of the dress to tie it all together,” she concludes.
