Eric McCandless/CBSBeyonce recently traveled to Haiti to assist the United Nations on a humanitarian mission following the devastating earthquake on January 12, 2010.
According to the Caribbean Journal, the singer and her organization, BeyGOOD, visited towns throughout the country to assist people with food, water, and other necessary resources including medical attention from the UN’s doctors. She posted various photos on Instagram from her trip, including pictures with the locals.
While touring the Caribbean country, she was joined by a United Nations humanitarian delegation led by Valerie Amos, the U.N.’s Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator.
