Beyonce‘s “Formation” has had solid start on Billboard‘s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
According to the publication, the song is Beyonce’s highest career debut on the list, entering at #11. The diva’s previous best debut was at #14 as a featured guest on Usher‘s “Love in This Club Part II” with Lil Wayne in 2008. Her prior best as a lead artist was “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” which debuted at #20 in 2008.
Elsewhere, “Formation” launches at #17 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop chart. This all without the track being available for sale yet.
The singer released the controversial song on YouTube February 6 and then performed it on the Super Bowl 50 halftime show.
