Jeff Bottari/Getty Images Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men is stretching out as a solo artist with his new single, “Feelin Lil Som’n.”
“It’s a head-bobber while drinking a nice full-bodied Bordeaux, a smooth, thoughtful love song and the perfect introduction for what I hope people will want to dive a bit deeper into with me,” Stockman tells YouKnowIGotSoul.com.
The song is the first release from his solo deal with SRG Records. The 45-year-old singer was previously featured as a solo artist in 1996 on “Vision Of A Sunset” on the Mr. Holland’s Opus soundtrack.
While Stockman works on his own music, he’s not leaving Boyz II Men.
“I love performing with my guys! I will do that till I can’t anymore,” he says. “I think we’ll eventually do another record. Till then, I’ll be holding it down for the brand I helped build and maintain.”
Boyz II Men continue to tour, and their residency at the Mirage in Las Vegas, which began in 2013, will continue at least through December of this year.
