Morris and his pro partner, Lindsay Arnold, landed in second place this time with a score of 24 out of a a possible 30, right behind America’s Top Model season-22 champ Nyle DiMarco and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, who had 25.

Monday’s theme was “Most Memorable Year.” Morris danced a waltz to his group’s a capella version of the national anthem at the 1996 Olympics. Judge Len Goodman scolded Wanya for losing his posture on occasion, before declaring he’s “a big fan” of the 42-year-old, whose “lovely, fluid moves” he compared to “hot apple pie.” Bruno Tonioli called the routine “majestic and stellar,” and Carrie Ann Inaba added that boy band singer was “creating a beat” with his movements.

Backstage, Morris said he wasn’t mad about losing by one point, insisting that he’s more focused on the judges’ comments. “Those are the things that make you better,” he told ABC Radio, adding that while he wants to get the scores higher, the main thing is to improve from week to week.

Mischa Barton, best known for playing Marissa Cooper in the Fox drama The O.C., was eliminated Monday.

Dancing with the Stars continues next Monday on ABC.
