Rachel Murray/Getty Images for REVOLVECardi B is enjoying back-to-back number 1 debuts on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs thanks to “WAP” and her new song “Up.”
This officially makes her the first woman to accomplish the feat and is the second artist in history, with Drake being the first, to post two consecutive number 1 debuts as a lead artist.
“WAP,” which featured vocals from Megan Thee Stallion, charged up Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for 10 weeks while “Up” becomes the Grammy Award-winner’s sixth number one on the chart, overall.
The four other songs she previously sent to the top of the chart were “Bodak Yellow,” “Finesse,” “I Like It
and “Please Me.”
As previously reported, “Up” made history on the Billboard 100, bowing in the number two slot — becoming the first rap song in over two decades to notch that feat.
Lauryn Hill‘s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” debuted in second when it was released in 1998.
“Up” is also sitting atop the Hot Rap Songs, R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs and the Streaming Songs charts.
The track is also climbing up the Rap Airplay and Rhythmic Airplay charts, where it sits in the ninth and 17th spot, respectively.
Cardi is currently ranked seventh on Billboard‘s Artist 100 chart.
