Chris Brown is looking for support for his latest album, Royalty. While he didn’t post a disgruntled video on Facebook like R. Kelly, Breezy took to social media to address “fake” fans, who pretend to support him but purchase his music.
“Every one who follows me and has fake pages being fake supporters is a lil bogus. BUYMYS***,” Brown tweeted Wednesday.”TEAM BREEZY! I’m counting on you all to change the world. I appreciate the real fans.”
The singer then declares why he feels he’s deserving of the support. “I just demand my respect as an entertainer,” he begins, “Name 1 person who directs and writes his whole video ideas, dance, sing, paint, Etc. ???” Brown adds, “I work 3 times harder than anyone of my peers.”
Brown, who has yet to enter the top 100 on the iTunes chart, goes on to explain why he isn’t “afraid of losing.” He wrote: “If I fail on my own I can learn from that. I will not allow someone else to dictate my faith in God. Believe in yourself.”
Meanwhile, industry insiders estimate Brown’s latest project will sell approximately 150,000 to 160,000 units its first week, of which 125,000 to 135,000 will be pure album sales. The projections are slightly above Chris’ sales start for his previous release, X, which sold 146,000 first-week copies.
