Seven days into touring, award-winning Afropop artist Davido is heartbroken to announce the cancellation of his North American tour, due to the COVID-19 coronavirus.

“I’m saddened to halt what has been a fantastic sold-out tour so far, but postponing is the right thing to do,” the “Fall” singer wrote on Instagram. “The health and safety of my fans and staff is most paramount and nothing else matters. Be safe and see you all soon! God be with us all!”

This news comes after Davido gave fans electrifying performances in Vancouver, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Denver and performed in sold-out venues in Seattle, WA and Edmonton in Canada. Chris Brown made a guest appearance with Davido during his stop in Los Angeles, performing Davido’s “Blow My Mind,” and “Lower Body,” from Brown’s INDIGO album. Davido was set to perform at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX Saturday.

Davido’s his Instagram story is full of heartbroken emojis. “This s*** hurt man we worked so hard on this tour!!,” he said. “Me and my brothers were killing it!! Can’t even hide my pain.

The A Good Time tour was expected to hit major cities like Houston, Toronto, New York, Boston, Cleveland and Miami, and Atlanta’s famous Tabernacle and more.

Davido released the visual for his new single, “1 Milli,” earlier this month.
