After teasing a short snippet last month, Prince announced on Tuesday his new single, “Breakfast Can Wait,” is currently available for purchase through iTunes.
The news comes two weeks after Prince officially joined Twitter and gave fans a good laugh with the song’s accompanying artwork, which features a still image from comedian Dave Chappelle‘s infamous TV skit True Hollywood Stories — Prince. On the cover, Chappelle is impersonating the eccentric singer, holding a a plate of pancakes.
“Breakfast Can Wait” is expected to land on Prince’s next album, tentatively titled Plectrum Electrum, with his new girl group, 3rdEyeGirl, consisting guitarist Donna Grantis, bassist Ida Nielsen and drummer Hannah Ford.
